This is one of Flagstaff’s biggest holiday events and is a joy for children to join in on. Families are able to check out Santa’s incredible workshop that is huge and offers tons of fun. You will be able to take a look inside where the toys are made, Santa’s Sleigh Hanger, Mrs. Claus’ Bakery, Elf University, and more. The North Pole Experience has been voted a “Best Holiday Experience for Children” consistently for multiple years now. Expect to take part in making toys with Santa’s elves, enjoy Mrs. Claus’ delicious baked goods, earn an Honorary Elf diploma, and more. Kids will even be able to go over their Christmas wish list with Santa.
The North Pole Experience also provides family photo opportunities with Santa himself. Guests will receive a complimentary digital family portrait with Santa as part of their experience. You are also allowed to take your own photos too. There is nothing better than a family photo where you children have the biggest smiles on their faces after having an incredible day at The North Pole. Last but not least, each child receives an heirloom 2024 teddy bear to commemorate their time with Santa and his elves.

Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting
Each year, Flagstaff has our very own holiday tree lighting so our town’s tree can shine bright in the night sky during the holiday season. That time will be coming up very soon with the tree lighting taking place on December 7th. Come join the town of Flagstaff for plenty of family friendly fun that everyone will have a blast with. The festivities will kick off at 2:30 PM, where everyone will be able to enjoy holiday themed arts and crafts, s’mores, hot cocoa, and live music of your favorite holiday songs. The tree lighting will officially happen at 6:15 PM after the sun has gone down. Santa Claus himself will be on hand to help with the celebration as our giant tree is lit up for the first time this year. After the tree is lit up, Santa Claus will be sticking around to take photos with the family and children at the event. Snowflake Festival
Head on over to the Flagstaff Visitor Center on December 14th for the upcoming Snowflake Festival. This annual event returns for the 2024 season, where you can find all kinds of winter fun. Explore the cozy winter art market where you can purchase artwork that will make for the perfect gift for a loved one back home. Or check out the winter games and crafts that will keep the whole family busy during the event. The Snowflake Festival is a completely free event but does take donations of non-perishable food items and new packaged toys for those in need. You can document your time at the Snowflake Festival and your trip to Flagstaff with photos of the family with Santa. You can have pictures taken on your own camera phone or pay $1 for a cute polaroid that will make a great keepsake.
