Sedona is well known for its red rock landscapes and pristine mountain views, but what Sedona doesn’t get enough credit for is its amazing, locally-owned restaurants. You are free to eat wherever you feel, but we suggest trying one of these top five best places to eat in Sedona that are locally owned.
Layla’s Bakery
No matter if you are heading up to Sedona for the day or longer, you will need to fuel up in the morning, and there is no better place than Layla’s Bakery. Their sandwiches are available starting at 8 am every morning and they will package them to go, which makes them perfect to bring with you on a hike. The food is not extravagant, but it’s definitely tasty, high quality, and convenient, making it one of our favorite Sedona restaurants.
Red Rock Cafe
The large menu at Red Rock Cafe is focused on comfort food, making it one of the best places for brunch and overall one of the top restaurants Sedona has in town. Their banana French toast is to die for, made with freshly baked banana bread topped with walnuts, blueberries, powdered sugar, and homemade raspberry sauce. You really can’t go wrong with any of their delicious and comforting options.
Shorebird
This amazing restaurant is a newer establishment, but it has already begun to make a name for itself as one of the best in Sedona. Their food is simple yet beautifully crafted and has ideal red rock views on their patio. We highly recommend their crab cakes, as they really show the freshness of the seafood that Shorebird is able to get, even though they are so far from the water. They also have a great brunch menu and serve complimentary beignets upon being seated.
Colt Grill
Colt Grill brings comfort and casual dining to a town generally known for its more upscale dining. This classic BBQ joint serves a variety of smoked and grilled meats along with burgers, sandwiches, salads, and even a few vegetarian options. To accompany their entrees, the restaurant serves up their homemade sauces in different varieties.
Elote Cafe
As soon as you book your Sedona trip, you will want to make a reservation at the Elote Cafe. This is by far one of the best places to eat in Sedona. They serve upscale Mexican food that is as detailed as it is delicious. You must start with their signature elote dish, which deconstructs the traditional street corn into an amazing dip with chips. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu at this amazing Sedona staple.
